  • Water

Adding a River

  1. In the Place Actors pane or Add Actor button, search for "Water Body Lake".

  2. Add it to your landscape

    1. Tip: When you add the river, note the direction the water is flowing and be sure to position it so the water is flowing the way you want.
  3. Important: Your landscape will be altered by the river. You might not want this. To prevent altering the landscape, look in the Details tab > Terrain section > Uncheck "Affects Landscape".

  4. Use the spline points (and add new ones) to position your river.

Change the Water's Color

Changing a river's color is the same process as changing a lake's color. You can find the steps here.

Tips

  • You can angle sections of the spline downward to create waterfalls. If you do this, you can also adjust the Water > Velocity property of the spline point at the top of the waterfall.

  • You may also need to adjust the height of your spline points as your river continues down your landscape and gets lower and lower.
